TV Stars Heading to Chester for Christmas Concert

This year’s Christmas Concert at Chester Cathedral will feature performances from many of TV’s best known faces. The annual festive event, hosted by Matthew Kelly, will take place on Friday 6th December and will raise funds for the Neuromuscular Centre in Winsford.

Some of the stars confirmed for the concert include actress Lindsay Duncan, Downton Abbey Duo Jim Carter and Kevin Doyle, who play Mr Carson and Joseph Moseley respectively, as well as Imelda Staunton and Reece Shearsmith, creator of The League of Gentlemen.

Local school choirs will be auditioning for the chance to sing at the concert and entertain the 1,000 capacity crowd. Last year’s event sold out completely and it is seen as a great way to start celebrating Christmas in Chester.

The concert takes place on the evening of Friday 6th December and tickets are available now from www.nmcentre.com or on 01606 861733. Prices range from £10 - £50 with the chance to meet the celebrities. There will also be seasonal readings along with the music during the event.
