Helen Watson, Head of Employment Law at Aaron & Partners LLP, has taken up an invitation to become a Trustee of both the Trust Board and the Main Board at Theatr Clwyd.
Theatr Clwyd has bolstered its senior leadership team with the appointment of an experienced employment law solicitor to support its vision of being at the forefront of theatre-making in the UK.
Helen Watson, who heads up Chester-based Aaron & Partners’ Employment Law team and is also the Chair of the Institute of Directors North Wales, has joined the board of the Mold venue following an invitation from Artistic Director, Tamara Harvey.
As a registered charity, she joins up with the theatre as a trustee of both the Trust board and the main board and will play an active role in supporting its work in the community and promoting the future of the arts.
Helen said: “It’s a real privilege to be joining the board of Theatr Clwyd. It’s a cultural hub in this region and a world-class theatre with incredible productions, a great location and wonderful people, so I was delighted to accept the invitation to join the team.
“There is work to do, but I hope I’ll be able to put my skills and experience to good use because this is an absolute jewel in the crown of North Wales.”
Artistic Director Tamara Harvey said: “We’re thrilled that Helen has accepted our invitation to join the board. It’s a real coup for us to have someone of her calibre and stature on the team.
“We’re one of the UK’s leading production theatres and we’ve got some really big ambitions for the future, but we rely heavily on the support and experience of our board members and governors. Helen’s knowledge and acumen will be immensely valuable to us.”
