The Wild Goose at the Chester Lakes has re-opened under new management after suddenly closing its doors in early 2018.
Wild Goose Lakeside Bar & Restaurant is set in 100 acres of beautiful parkland and lakes on the fringe of Chester, serving local seasonal food in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

We went for lunch and it was everything we had hoped for. Starting off with some halloumi fries, that were crispy and squeaky, just how they should be. One of us had the prawn linguine, that was delicious and the other lamb shank, the meat fell off the bone and the roast potatoes tickled every taste bud. Then to finish it all off we indulged in a mars bar cheesecake which was the perfect ending to this fantastic meal. What sets Wild Goose Lakeside Bar & Restaurant apart, is the warm welcome from Christos and his team and the attention to detail in every aspect. If the weather is good enough they have huts outside and plenty of room for all the family, a hot date or if you’re out with friends.
Wild Goose Lakeside Bar & Restaurant serve a delicious, traditional English menu with an international twist.
The bar has a selection of Cheshire ales and more familiar beers while their wine selection brings together quality wines from small independent vineyards.
Wild Goose Lakeside Bar & Restaurant is open all day, serving freshly ground coffee and their delicious Cake of the Day from 10:00 am. The lunch/dinner menu runs from Midday to 9.30pm (closed on Mondays – unless booking arrangements are made for corporate or private events)
Sundays are all about the traditional roast. Expect succulent joints, puffy Yorkshires, crispy potatoes, fresh seasonal veg and lashings of gravy. Served between 12:00 pm and 7:00 pm, bookings are highly recommended.
